Derby display delights boss

James Dunne scored his first goal of the season at the start of the second half to ensure a sixth win in the last seven games for City.

"I know how important the game was. You could feel it when you walked inside the ground," said Tisdale. "But it wasn't just the fact we won, it was the way we played. I couldn't be prouder of the way the team played.

"I think we showed everything. We showed a real strong start in a frantic first 10 minutes and then we showed some of the best football I think I have seen us play under pressure for a 45-50 minute spell that I have seen for a long time.

"Then in the last 20 minutes, we had to hang on and we showed great spirit, guts and determination to keep a clean sheet."

Tisdale added: "James Dunne was one of our better players. He had a fantastic 95 minutes. It was a lovely lay-off from Jamie Cureton and a fantastic finish from James."
