"I feel exited to sign my contract and I'm already looking forward to the season ahead," Bauza told the Exeter club website.
"I think I can make any team a little bit better and score some good goals."
Northampton Town manager Gary Johnson said: "We wish him well for the future.
"He did well for us and we were good for him, we thank him for his time with us and now we move on."
Bauza was a member of the Swansea City squad that won promotion to the Championship in 2008.
