Rochdale could be without defender Scott Wiseman, who is still struggling with a stomach muscle injury.
Fellow defender Joe Widdowson has recovered from a knock but may have to settle for a place on the bench.
Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon: "On the whole I'm pleased with how we've done, we've picked up some valuable points.
"We're professionals and want to be as high up in any league as we can, and the ambition is always to win the next game.
"I'm not expecting an easy game against Rochdale, on the contrary, I'm expecting a difficult game with a side that's full of confidence."
