Gill likely to miss out

Exeter look set to be without midfielder Matt Gill as they search for their first home victory since October when Wycombe visit on New Year's Day.

The Bristol Rovers loanee, who will sign a permanent deal with the club later this week, limped off just 15 minutes into the 3-1 win over Torquay on Sunday with a hamstring injury.

Manager Paul Tisdale confirmed after the match that Gill is "very worried" about the problem which looks set to earn Matt Grimes a recall to the Exeter midfield.

David Wheeler looks set to start once more despite having three stitches on a head injury after the final whistle at Plainmoor.

Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth will be without top scorer Dean Morgan.

The striker hobbled off during the Boxing Day defeat by Newport with a hamstring injury which will keep him out for four weeks.

Ainsworth, who saw his side's clash with Fleetwood on Sunday postponed, threatened to ring the changes following their 1-0 reverse to the Exiles which could open the door for the likes of Billy Knott and Matt McClure.

Paris Cowan-Hall is in line to start after proving his fitness off the bench but Steven Craig will not feature having been ruled out for six weeks.
