Exeter boss Paul Tisdale believes his side can match the top teams in League One following back-to-back 1-1 draws against Southampton and MK Dons.
City visit fifth-placed Millwall on Saturday after twice recovering from a goal down to gain a point.
Following Saturday's stalemate at home to Saints, Tisdale said: "It was a very battling performance from us.
"We have had two games now where we have come away with points against top teams and it's a nice trait to have, not losing games and being competitive and staying in them.
"In the last two weeks at MK Dons and here against Southampton - two very good teams - we have come away with points. I am pleased with how things are ticking on."
