Exeter could be without midfielder Jake Thompson, who limped out of the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy southern area final defeat by Brentford.
Defender Richard Tully has returned to light training following a knee injury, but is not yet ready.
Exeter City development coach Andy Tillson told BBC Radio Devon: "Our strength is that we don't make a big drama of things, we're pretty consistent and the players know where they stand.
"We're certainly not looking down the table, we're definitely looking higher and there's no better place to start that Notts County who are a very good side.
"We're going to have to concentrate, we're going to have to put a really hard shift of work in and if we do that we'll be fine."
