Programme cost kept low

To cover the cost of enlarging the magazine City had initially planned the 50 pence price hike, even going so far as making the announcemt.

However following a meeting between Mike Lewis, John Russell and Mike Blackstone - programme editor - they have rescinded on the decision.

"We hope the sales of the programme will justify our decision to keep it at £2," Blackstone told the Express & Echo.

"With 64 pages the City programme is one of the best value programmes in the Football League."
