Ginge revealed that he found it hard working under Iron manager Brian Laws, a man who wears his heart on his sleeve.

"It's fair to say that I didn't see eye to eye with him (Laws)," he said.

"I've had my differences with him but now that's all behind me. "I needed a move and John has given me the opportunity - he was a big influence in me coming here.

"I was at Scunthorpe with him for three or four months, he is a character in the dressing room and I like to train with a smile on my face as well.

"When I did play at Scunthorpe, I was playing at wing-back. I broke my leg last season and was out for 18 weeks and I never really got back into the groove when I came back.

"But John will give me the chance to play in my best position, which is out on the right-wing, rather than play wing-back all the time."
